Walter Williams

Walter R. Williams, 87, of Mackinaw passed away at 10:04 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2026 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Born April 15, 1939, in Eureka, the son of Ralph and Mary Radcliff Williams, he married Patricia Wenninger April 23, 1960 in Danvers.  She survives.

Surviving is a step-sister, Dorothy Kuntz of Naples, FL.  

Walter worked for Caterpillar, Inc retiring as an electrician.

Walter was a Ham Operator, a 33 degree Mason, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Peoria and the Mohammad Temple Shrine.

He was a member of the Danvers Presbyterian Church.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at the Hansel Oswald Funeral Home in Mackinaw.  Rev. Noah Lee will officiate.  There will be no visitation.

Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Mackinaw Rescue Squad.
