Wanda Hamilton Obituary

Wanda J. Hamilton, 95, of Carlyle, formerly of Mackinaw, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2022 at her home.

She was born March 7, 1927 in Missouri to Clarence and Loualma Luke Meeks. She married Harold Hamilton Sr. on December 29, 1978, and he passed away December 11, 2011.

Surviving are two sons, Jack Foraker of Breese and Jonathon (Cheryl) Foraker of Valparaiso, FL; one daughter, Heidi Pomeroy of Carlyle; one step-son, David (Janelle) Hamilton of Mackinaw; two step-daughters, Lucille Larkins of Jonesboro, AR and Wanda Losh of Elmwood; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; three daughters, Laura Dee Fields, Peggy E. Foraker, and Wanda L. Foraker; and three brothers, James, Bill, and Milo Sr. Meeks.

Wanda attended the Holiness Bible Church in South Pekin. She enjoyed spending time with her family, bird watching, and had a great sense of humor.

Her funeral will be at 3:00 pm Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont. Mike Burgess will officiate. Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Mackinaw Township Cemetery.
