Wayne L. Moldenhauer, 67, of San Jose, passed away Monday, October 3, 2022.
He was born October 28, 1954 in Lincoln to Howard and Marlyn Hoerbert Moldenhauer. He married Janice R. Hoffman on September 5, 1981 in San Jose, and she passed away March 3, 2021.
Surviving are his children, Kathleen Blevins of Wichita, Kansas and Alan Moldenhauer of San Jose; His granddog, Mazi; two brothers, Weldon (Arlene) Moldenhauer of Pekin and Glen (Donna) Moldenhauer of Auburn; one sister, Doris (Kevin) Kothe of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son-in-law, Steffen Blevins.
Wayne was a self-employed, 3rd generation farmer in the San Jose area.
He was a member of the St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Emden and it’s Brotherhood Bible Study. He was also a member of the Logan County Farm Bureau and the NRA.
His life was focused on faith, family, and farming.
His funeral will be at 2:00 pm, Sunday, October 9, 2022 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Emden. Pastor Keith Ray and John Cross will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 pm Saturday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan and from 1:00-1:45 pm Sunday at the church. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, San Jose.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church or American Diabetes Association.
