William Brown

William “Bill” H. Brown, 87, of Delavan, passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

He was born August 15, 1937 in Peoria to Lewis and Mary Beatty Brown. 

Surviving are many cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and his stepfather, Ralph Nafziger. 

Bill served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 and farmed in the Delavan area for many years. 

He was a member of the Delavan United Methodist Church and enjoyed painting and crafting. 

His funeral will be at 11:00 am Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Delavan.  Pastor Charles Graul will officiate.  Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Prairie Rest Cemetery in Delavan. 

Memorials may be made to Prairie Rest Ladies Cemetery Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
