William "Bill" Huette Obituary

William J. “Bill” Huette, 88, of Tremont, passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton. 

He was born April 8, 1933 in Tremont to Fred and Nettie Aberle Huette.  He married Marilyn R. Rocke on September15, 1957 in Morton, and she passed away December 20, 2014. 

Surviving are three sons, David (Susan) Huette of Tremont, Doug (Jill) Huette of Morton, and Greg (Sallie) Huette of Valparaiso, IN;  three daughters, Susan (Rick) Berchtold, Barb (Dave) Kaeb, and Ann (Dave) Dill, all of Tremont; 15 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; two sisters, Rose Mary Frank and Marjorie (Maurice) Schaefer, both of Tremont. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, Louise Teubel and LaVerne Kaiser. 

Bill farmed in the Tremont area and had a Friday egg route in Morton for many years.  During the winter months, he spent working at Rocke’s  Meating Haus in Morton. 

He served in the U.S. Navy, serving in Japan. 

He was a member of Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont, where he served as Sunday school teacher and trustee. 

Gardening and family were his joy. 

His funeral will be at 10:00 am Thursday, March 10, 2022 at Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont.  Ministers of the church will officiate.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont and from 9:00 to 9:45 am Thursday at the church.  Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont. 

Memorials may be made to Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton.
