Wilma R. Bliss

Wilma R. (Dill) Bliss, 88, of Tremont IL and Tamarac Fl, went home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2022 at 3:15 am, while in hospice care in Sunrise FL. 

She was born in Tremont on June 24, 1933, the daughter of Henry and Elizabeth Laukauf Dill.  She married her high school sweetheart, Floyd E. Bliss on October 3, 1954.

She is survived by her husband of 67 years, one daughter Renna Bliss, also of Tremont; one brother Glenn (Marilyn) Dill of Tremont; brother- in- law, Adam Mauer of Bloomington; and sister- in- laws, Barbara Dill Wagenbach of Tremont and Sandy Dill of Morton. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, who all had a special place in her heart and life.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Margaret Maurer and Linda Lou Dill; and brothers Henry Dill Jr. and Kenneth Dill. 

Wilma worked at Keystone Steel & Wire and was a regional sales manager for Stanley Home Products until she retired.  Floyd and Wilma spent their winters in Florida for over 25 years. 

Wilma was open about her faith in Jesus and willing to share the plan of salvation.  Many times, she would say, “I just want to fly away and go be with Jesus”.   She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont for over 65 years.  

Her funeral will be at 10:00 am Saturday, March 19, 2022, at Apostolic Christian Church in Tremont.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm Friday at Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont and from 9:00 to 9:45 am Saturday at the church.  Burial will be in Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Tremont.
