Woody Jones

Woody Davis Jones, 31, of Bloomington, IL. passed away on Friday, September 29, 2023 at his home.

He was born on November 12, 1991, in Mesa, Arizona.

Woody is survived by his father, Rob (Lori) Jones, Jr. of Tremont, and his mother Judy (Gil) Martinez of Frisco, TX. His son, Oslo Jones survives him as well. Also surviving are his brothers; Jacob Mundy, Dyllon (Emma) Jones, Tres Jones, and his sisters; Trista Semmel, Samantha (Jeff) White, and Madison Jones. Along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Woody loved his son and wanted nothing more than to be a good dad to Oslo.  Woody loved music, especially live music, and was an avid guitar player.  Other than his guitar, the only thing Woody liked better was to game.  Woody prided himself on being extremely smart and expressing himself in ways unique only to Woody.  He was constantly challenging his intellect and taught himself how to play the guitar and several computer disciplines.  This is why he was so respected by those with whom he worked.  Woody had a great deal of charisma and sharp sense of humor.  You could always count on a witty comeback or comment from him.  For those reasons, and many others, Woody will be missed very much by his family and those who loved him.

Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life for Woody will be at Tremont City Park, Large Pavilion, on Thursday, Oct. 5, 2023, at 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account for Oslo.  Memorial donations can be made out to Tremont Community Bank under Oslo V. Jones.  Oswald Funeral Home of Tremont are handling the arrangements.
